TS Rigging -Tall Ships has extensive knowledge of rigging and the maritime world in a number of historical contexts. 

As well as our own library of historic volumes, we are also experienced in interpreting pictorial and other evidence, allowing us to provide references and ensure period accuracy.

Safety is a primary concern, especially when it comes to the ship's structure above head height.

We at TS Rigging - Tall Ships are well versed in providing condition surveys aloft, detailing safety and maintenance concerns, and suggesting ongoing maintenance plans upon request.

We have the ability to carry out full builds and installations of masts and rigging, working alongside experienced spar makers and metal fabricators.

We pride ourselves in our ability to use a blend of traditional seafaring skills, modern craning, and rope access techniques for swift installations and  minimum impact on visitors.

Existing rigs need maintenance, ensuring its longevity and safety. We specialise in access without plant wherever practical, reducing the impact on site operations. 

We can create a bespoke maintenance programme for your vessel, carrying out tasks such as painting, oiling, serving repairs, replacement lines, spar removal and repair, and in situ repairs.

Any vessel needs a sound deck and hull, whether it is still sailing or as a static visitor attraction.

TS Rigging - Tall Ships have led projects such as building large spars, fabricating metal fittings, fitting and repairing hull planks, and laying new traditional decks and repairing older ones, including the use traditional caulking techniques.

Our passion for maritime history enables us to assist with other museum departments in interpretation and display.
